Both trucks look good, but if the '04 is anything like my buddy's '03, it's a gutless pig in stock form. :dunno:

your buddies truck must have issues. my truck was not that gutless stock. it would embarass the gas trucks. after a little work, it is just relentless.

be careful of the 03 and 04's!!!

Personally.. I have seen a bunch of 6.0's self destruct around my town with normal use... I know ALL dont blow up.. but the ones I have seen do! So just do your homework buddy!

sounds good Jake! My roommate and I may be going to look at a 03 7.3L for him today. I know around here the hunt for 7.3L in good shape with less than 250K miles is tough. Our truck market around my area BLOWS!

Good luck on your search!

the 04 really wasnt bad. it had a little more lag than the 05 but the 05 also already had a 4" turbo back at least

I have a feeling it won't be stock very long.

nope got plans no matter what once i get one

Damn, those things are longer than a whores dream, but they're nice as hell.

me like them long like that. give me room for a tool box and still have a full size bed. but i am kinda worried about DD something that long

So when is the LS1 going into the f-150 :D2

if i can keep it it might be a while otherwise i think its getting sold soon :(

Both are nice trucks, hard to choose between the two :dunno:

its not just those two really but they both were really nice. got a dealer bringing a 2000 7.3 crew 4x4 into town so i can drive it and see if i like it. it does have 165K but were talking around 12K and under and maybe a trade for the nitro and then get the woman a new vehicle

very true and ive been studying hard. ive stayed away from the 03's and really if i do a 6.0 i might want at least a 05 just for the suspension and styling inside and out. but so far im not terribly worried if i can find a nice truck even if its not studded after looking over the writeup to do the studs in the drive way

sounds sick let me know what happens. there are a few around here but most of them have alot of miles also.

The KR`s rear bumper is fugged up, just saying (is not level, tipped down in front...). If you get a 6.0l invest in ARP head studs and EGR blockoff kit and it will last you many years. :)

I'd save up a little longer and buy a newer 150. There's no good reason to have a DD Diesel.

for whats out there in the F150 market around here you get alot more in a f250 around 05 models and up.

ive looked at and drove a few 5.4 crew cab 4x4's and theyre ok but not what i was expecting. id want to move up to an 09+ but thats too far a jump to make and id rather have another DD first and then maybe trade up in a few yrs.

for me looking at it i can move up to diesel and get the same mpg's as i do now where i cant with a f150 and i also can get a real sized bed at the least where the 6.5ft bed supercrews in f150 didnt start till around 2006 and are rare
