So if at all possible keep my eyes out for an LQ4 out of an 05 or better or does it really matter THAT much?

I'm not really sure what power the "lesser" connecting rods are good for, as I wanted an '05+ just for the age. Like I said before, performancetrucks.net has a BUNCH of guys who have done this before, and I'm pretty sure there are even guys running lq4s with STS systems.

Do some searching over there, and I'd bet all of your questions will be answered pretty damn quick.

I'll be damned i didnt know that. Hmmm. I should be able to swap parts off of the 5.3 onto the 6.0 right, i mean like use the same fuel pump, but injectors would be different correct?

Everything will bolt up between the 4.8/5.3/6.0 truck engines. If you're going to run a turbo, you'll definitely need to upgrade injectors.

Sweet man i'll look around for one, because those engines push down about 345-350hp by themselves stock so all i would need to do really is upgrade the cam, springs, injectors, headers, and a 10psi boost to be touching around 600hp

600HP with those mods is wishful thinking, 500HP is a bit more realistic

Good luck with the build up. I am thinking of putting a Gen IV 6.0 in my truck and eventually putting a blower on it.
