I'll be damned i didnt know that. Hmmm. I should be able to swap parts off of the 5.3 onto the 6.0 right, i mean like use the same fuel pump, but injectors would be different correct?

P.s.
But being that im going to boost the hell out of it, i might need a little bit better fuel delivery system

Everything will bolt up between the 4.8/5.3/6.0 truck engines. If you're going to run a turbo, you'll definitely need to upgrade injectors.

Sweet man i'll look around for one, because those engines push down about 345-350hp by themselves stock so all i would need to do really is upgrade the cam, springs, injectors, headers, and a 10psi boost to be touching around 600hp

Stock, the LQ4 (the lower compression 6.0) puts out about 325hp, but a cam, and a good tune supposedly wake them up pretty damn good.

There's some pictures of the progress I've made on my swap in the link in my sig.

For more info on all of this though, PerformanceTrucks.net is a damn good resource. Whatever you do though, make sure to post it up over here.

Yea dude, i was guna say something about your build a min. ago and it looks pretty much badass. My favorite picture is the old cam and the new cam side by side. Pretty elite! And as soon as i find a good used LQ4 i'll let you know and see whatcha think before i get it. And thanks to everyone else for all the useful info.

Car-Part.com is a great place to find motors (found mine there).

The LQ4 came in the 3/4 and 1 ton trucks and vans, and in all of the Sierra/Yukon Denalis. The Silverado SS, Escalades, and Vortec Max trucks got the higher compression LQ9.

I believe it was '01 when the LQ4 switched to aluminum heads, and the shorter crankshaft that is compatible with the 4l60e. The '05+ LQ4s also got the stronger connecting rods out of the LQ9.
