I'm pretty sure it's about the same. PM Hotrod he could tell you for sure since he's probably done one recently.

Been a while since I had one down, but as I remember the pawl is very similar. You can do it!

Here the deal, parking pawls usually don't break. Sure its possible, but I'd suspect 2 other things first. There is rod that pushes the pawl into the outer gear that is connected to the output shaft which locks it is place and its also spring loaded. The builder could have forgotten to put the rod in place when installing the linkage to the manual valve, or he didn't put the spring on the end of the rod. No big deal if that is the case. Pull that pan and install the parts properly, problem solved.
#2, it is possible if someone did a hard part change/upgrade on the outer planet that connnects to the output shaft, it could be of a differant design so the old style pawl does not work with that style outer planet. To correct that if its is issue, 1 of 2 things, either pull the trans and put the correct outer planet gear in the trasn, or try to find the correct pawl that goes with the updated outer planet and change out the pawl and that should correct the problem. I say either way, it should be an easy fix, but you're not likely to know anything until you pull the pan and inspect. Good Luck.
