Yup stole them off ebay came to 90 bucks or so with shipping last may... guy put TT mirros on his truck. They came off an 06. Just power glass like I have now.

. I would expect it will be repaired free, hopefully quickly too. I hated cleaning the mirror internals after driving without caps. PITA. 3 days was long enough. I'll tip the painter and manager for cooperating well if the outcome is good.

Alright the update some have been waiting for. The paint F up is fixed. Took the stuff back Monday, showed the Manager and he about laughed at how far off the painter was, brought him out and showed him. Got redone and I picked them up today. Looks fantastic, even better than last time. The darker paint shows the color depth very well and the metallic well, and it looks so finely smoothed. I can not wait to install, which may be tomorrow.

Aaaannd, I'll reveal that mystery mod that I withheld last week. The one I wanted to keep a little on the lay low from the creating source. I just know someone who can do vinyl work and did my request sneakily. I stated it is something that Ford has been 'sue happy' with, and anyone who heard about what happened to Patriot Decals knows what it is.

While it still has me a bit pissed, the guy 'assumed' I wanted the entire thing painted. I told the body manager I wanted the top PTM but the bottom to 'stay black', I guess I should have said "mask it and leave it". I know kick myself for not pre-masking it myself ( there is a tip for you when you do this Jeff! )Wasn't a war over it, but I did request he try to get me another set of mirrors I could borrow to get the rest of the mirror bodies painted to match the black at least..

I like the Overlays too... Is that a Steering wheel overlay as well? Makes a big difference inside the truck

Do it man, its worth it. Just make sure they don't do the entire thing if you don't want the rest of the textured mirror painted also. Otherwise take the mirrors in lol. Its a nice feeling with PTM caps I think, I felt happy with my mis-colored ones even. Makes it feel a touch more classy. Seeing them from inside is a little cool too. Ask Shanks.

Thanks man, yep that is a steering wheel overlay. I didn't even opt for one nor wanted it. Guess its cool I got it as a freebie. I'm thankful I was able to get the exact overlays I wanted. Black with PTM fonts OEM Ford font

Yeah I think I'll mask and sand them done myself. I think I can do it, I'm not 100% feeling having them painted on the bottom like that. A little all purpose cleaner, and Some Adam's SVRT I think I could get mine looking great!
