Apart from the poorly-designed stock EGR cooler, the 6.0 is not so bad as it's often pointed out.

False. The egr coolers were redesigned in 2005 into a square shape and Hence weaker. The 03-04 were round and much less prone to failure.

The heel of the 6.0 powerstroke is the 4 head bolts (torque to yield style) per cylinder compared to industry standard 6.

2nd heel is the huei injectoin system and supporting oil system. But that is a whole different beast.

When fitted with head studs, the head gasket issues all but disappear.

Don't say aomething you wouldn't say if the roles were reversed.

I am not saying cummins are bad, just my truck with a 6.0 puts the hurt on them around here.

Cummins has a better reputation for reliability and ease of maintenance. Ford even used Cummins engines into the F250, F350 and F550 for some overseas markets.
