i hate posting shit like this.. everybodys always like no, nope cant work, impossible

i wont bother next time

Cody you are always looking for the cheap, easy miracle cure. Sooner or later, you will figure out that there just isn't one.

I have used 2 cycle oil, ATF (my personal favorite), and MMO in many older model diesel engines fuel supply upon completion of an overhaul to prevent scuffing of new cylinder kits. Why? Because an old journeyman who trained me told me so.

As the years passed I changed my way on many methods.

One thing is for sure, none of these guys on the internet have any proof of these fantastic gains they claim, and post up. Modern 4 cycle gasoline engines do not want any oil in any part of the fuel system, this is a fact.

It works great in my WeedEater, however.

Just trying to help. You are, as usual, wanting everybody to approve your latest fantastic idea.

Their sucess is only that the engine is still running and possibly an increase in mileage. Some people were changing octane. The only way to know for sure would be to test it in a controlled situation. Too many variables out in the real world of driving. I know of too many people that have tried this and then quit after a while.

If you're interested in trying it, go for it! You can keep detailed records for the next year and report back to us.

For someone that lives in an emission testing area, I'm sure this might not be a good thing to be doing.

its not my idea,

there is nothing wrong with my motor, or fuel pump, but if it would help keep my truck running strong for longer then i am all for it.. some of what they say makes sense but then there are other parts with the huge mpg+ claims and some other stuff which is totally bogus, i also think they are putting way too much in.

i think if it was used like a every 3000 mile sort of thing it may be helpful

But why risk damaging sensors, or worse for something that "may" be helpful? Plenty of people have kept great running, high mileage trucks by doing nothing other than changing the oil, filters etc. (and "etc." doesn't include foreign substances in the fuel system :D2).

And you did ask for our thoughts, so don't be surprised when people offer opinions that differ from yours.

Personally I don't see how a small amount could hurt anything. I also don't see how it could help but I don't claim to know everything.

Let's keep out opinions civil here. We all do things that others might not think are logical at times. Remember that guys.

,
it seems like it would work fine, but like Jeff said gasoline should have everything todays gas engines need on a daily basis, however once in a while a good cleaning in not a bad thing, something Lucas oil product would work great IMO, but thats MO, so give it try and see what happens and let us know!
