Every valve(exhaust and intake) is bent. WTF....

I thought that it being a low compression engine it wouldn't bend the valves but I was wrong. I also thought a rod would bend before a valve but that wasn't the case either.

Sounds like you may have had it 180 degrees out of time...
That could be why it was popping back and could also be why the valves are bent...
The pistons hit the valves when you tried to start it.

Notice the smudge marks on the edge of every valve...
