I think the 2.2 will be ok without a rebuild. I'll know for sure tonight if the rain lets me work on it. If not I might settle for another carbureted motor.

I didn't get the timing chain cover back till late last night so the truck is still down.
It's storming now. Not working on it in the rain.
I don't think it is raining now.
Just looked outside and not a cloud in the sky.
I got the timing right and it won't start. Pops a little too. I'm checking for a bent valve now.
I got a bunch of free parts today. Exhaust manifold, head, valves ect.
All I need now is gaskets and good weather.
