NO AC? Is this thing headed to trailer queen status?

Vintage Air installed eventually, it will keep the firewall clear and tuck most of the stuff under the dash. I don't need a glove box anyway. Lol

Nice, can't wait to see this thing progress. Those bodystyle Chevs are bad ass. Cool back story on the truck too.

Making progress, the boxes are starting to come in. I get a grainy pic of a parts box every now and then from my buddy. I'll stop and pick up the stuff this week before heading home.

Big thanks to Brian for helping me with the order of stuff from Ecklers.

Got the radiator and core support removed so I could get a better look at things.

Found that both frame rails had kinks in them just ahead of the crossmember.

Left side

Right side frame rail kink in lower lip of rail.

After seeing this I knew I could fix it but I needed more room to work the frame rails. So I started stripping off the accessories from the front of the engine as well as the steering gear box.

I used a come along, hammers and crescent wrenches for tweaking the frame rails back into shape. Have just a little more shaping to do on the lower lip but they are pretty straight and the width is correct.

Removed the core support mounts and shot a little cheap primer on the bare metal for now.

Here's where I left off until next weekend.

Why not just pull the engine?
Several reasons but the main one is that I don't want to **** up the garage with this junk pile yet.

It will come out eventually though...

Main goal right now is get the sheetmetal on and square with the rest of the body.

Clearance what's needed to lay frame then get the whole truck to my buddy's shop for the suspension build. Then it will start to come back apart for proper work and upgrades.
