I wouldt shift the transfercase while your under power. Every truck I have seen leaves it in 4HI until they cross the line, then shift it back to 2HI.

Riggs, everyone is just adding what they think. If you want to try it, by all means go for it. Keep the ratio under 200:1 and you'll be ok, but you wont see any benefit, and 2 stroke oil is expensive. If you had an old diesel truck, that was used to high sulfer diesel, the the 2 stroke works...

Next time, try it in 4WD. The axles and transfer cases in our trucks are very stout. I've seen guys running high 10's on the stock systems. If anything breaks, it will be your transmission....

Very good points. The 02 sensors and catalytic converters do not like unburned hydrocarbons. Gasoline engines can not burn hot enough to completely burn the oil. Damage may result. Another good point. Gasoline already has additives for lubricity and for cleaners. Adding 2 stroke oil...

Michelin LTX A/T 245/75R15 Load range E. They are just awesome! Unfortunately, some genius at Michelin decided to drop the line up so when these wear out I will be looking at alternates.

If your just making it for personal use, I really dont think you will have a problem. Just be careful who you sell it to, you dont want them running their mouths.

Does this only cover half ton trucks? The reason I ask is that shaft looks A LOT different then the one in my 3/4 ton. The process for a 3/4 and 1 ton should be similar though right?

+1, and definately go synthetic. Royal Purple and Amsoil already include the LSD additive, if you go Mobil 1 or another brand you will need to add it yourself, depending on what you have in the rear. Good luck.

I believe 2007 was the first year for the V8's to have it. From what I have read into it, the cost to add the VVT to the V8's was more then they thought, which is why it took them longer to add it when compared to the I4 and V6 engines.

My mistake, you are correct. I thought he was asking about 6.0 engines using only VVT. Of which only the 2500 and 3500 series trucks do. :cheers:
