Next time, try it in 4WD. The axles and transfer cases in our trucks are very stout. I've seen guys running high 10's on the stock systems. If anything breaks, it will be your transmission....

The way I do it, and have heard of others doing it, is start in 4hi, and switch to 2hi after the 1-2 shift.

I think that I might look into some tie rod sleeves and some center link braces just to be on the safe side...

See I thought that with my 4wd system that switching it to 2wd wouldnt occur until I let off the gas... I just dont want to cause carnage...

I wouldt shift the transfercase while your under power. Every truck I have seen leaves it in 4HI until they cross the line, then shift it back to 2HI.

There are some guys on the DruamaxForum that said that I should easily get 8.8-8.9 in 4HI... So here's hoping..

I also think that I could be mid 8's if I installed the Allison upgrades! I just have to do it!
