With your description and the mileage you have you've shelled the internals. It's going to have to be torn down completely. When it's rebuilt, they should upgrade the weak hard parts in the trans. The sunshell being one of them.
Have it rebuilt locally. Then you'll have a warranty. Full rebuild will be $1500 -$1800 at some places. The place that rebuilds anything for me for offers 3 year, 36k miles warranty
My first ride was a manual trans. I have always had one vehicle in my herd that is a manual shift.
Also have driven many big rigs, when required, over the years as well.
I'd let it go to waste before I'd use it. It CANNOT be mixed with silicone. Nor would I mix it with other brake fluids
