Did you email them and ask about availability? I did and they replied within an hour. I had never purchased from them before but with no item picture and this low price, I thought there was an off chance they were going to send me a .2 or something and say "Oops!" but I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong.

I didn't email them, I just figured that if you got the .3 a week before and they still had it up as available that I would take that risk. Its not like I haven't been waiting for this damn thing for a year and a half. Plus today I am traveling so I didn't have much time to wait to hear back on an email.

Alright, I went with one each of the following...

• Alpine PDX-V9 - 5 Channel (100 X 4 and 500 X 1 all at 4 Ohm) - I simply could not justify almost $250 more for the same specs from the JLHD900/5
• Sundown Audio SD-2 10D4 (500W RMS) <--Made in the USA
  

All I have left now is the wiring and sound material.

New question.

The optimal ft^3 for this sub is .42 but the box is around .6

Should I remove the stuffing? I would assume so since the stuffing makes the volume appear larger to the sub, from what I've been able to find. Just asking for a double-check here for my own sanity.




Also, should I consider adding something inside the box that is actually dense to reduce the space closer to the .5 optimal volume?

Yeah, but this Sundown SD-2 has rave reviews and is half the price. I'm looking into it.

500W RMS still and fits perfectly with 1/8" to spare and is side vented. I'm looking for more SPL or SQL than SQ, personally. I like some beats.

Help me with one thing here though. Since the PDX-V9 gives 500 at 2 or 4 Ohm, is it better to wire up dual 2 Ohm VC's as 4 Ohm or dual 4 Ohm VC's as 2 Ohm? I would assume the latter.
