Scott, I'm thinking about this Alpine Type-R shallow.

It calls for an enclosure volume range from .25 to .5ft^3. The Thunderform and Stealthboxes are .6

What's the best way to take up some of that space to make this work within the optimal range? is there?

Also, considering this amp if I don't go with the 5-channel. I just really want a dedicated amp so i can get some more power. If I do go with a 5-channel, I may have to grab a different sub because that one is hungry.

Anyone got any thoughts on the best components and coaxials for the doors?

BTW, Disregard prices. Those can both be found for about half.

Re: Penguin, and others, help me pick a speaker setup.

Not that familiar with stereo stuff but my Infinity speakers sound great in my 02. I hear component setups are really nice. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Components are nice and will be installed in the front. The coaxials will be for the rear doors to make he mounting easier. Not really wanting to have to cut any holes or mount tweeter pods in the back.

Those look like great choices! Since you have the room, a dedicated amp is cool IMO. You know I want to do that too, I am just undecided on how much space I want to waste.

I have JBL components, and would buy them again in a heartbeat.

I have JBL 2 ways in the rear. All are 6.5 inch.

Cool.

Yeah, I'll have to find the space. I really want a well-powered sub. Did you see the excursion on that one? 15 mm. That's amazing for a shallow sub so I'm really hoping for some fairly deep bass out of it.

When I yank the Bose amp, will there be enough space for a a real amp?

There was barely enough room for my PDX in there. I ran it that way for probably a year. It is too confined, and even that amp got hot in there with heavy use. I am going to put my 360 in that space.

Sounds like I might do that as well. I'll just tuck the USB cable somewhere so I can edit settings. I don't trust the Bluetooth as my only option. Should be sick though.
