It's insane out there. The winter that all the northern states are missing, I have found.

Re: Camming the kid's 5.3

Thanks man, I appreciate it.

And I would recommend circle d for the verter.

I'd go yank 3200 but that's just me. Circle D would be a lot cheaper though.

Both seem to be equally good, I'm happy with my Yank, and plenty of guys love their Circle Ds. Circle D seems to be growing pretty quickly, while Yank has been around longer.

Everyone on tbssowners who has a circled end up swapping out for something different. Not sure why, but I think it's because they aren't as efficient as the yanks. A lot of people lose way too much mph up top.
That Yank PTB3600 is everyone's favorite.

We have a PI2800 on the SSS but with the boost it is well over 3000, and I HATE that thing. It is horrible for a DD IMO.

I really, really didn't want to train him in driving with a stall :( I remember driving my Mustang with a 3200 TCI in the snow, with heavy traffic, and parking in tight lots...just gets old.

i like that cam actuly with pac 1518 and ls2 chain new oil pump and everything else you would have a great wot and a nice dd

with my setup now.. and pat recomended me a 3000 stall i still feel that my cam is very dd friendly for a heavy truck with big tires of course the 6 speed helps a littel

i have a comp lsl lxl lope 219 222 .606 .601 111+4 LSA

if i would do it agine i would have stepd up with somthing like

an eps lobe 222 226 at same lift and duration and LSA that cam pulls pritty good

its all to how far you want to go

BTW the eps lobes are easier on the valvetrain even with bigger durations than the comp lobes

also heard good things about cam motion lobes
