I miss my old 350 trucks. Man I could turn tires into instant smoke in those trucks... they sounded better with custom exhaust too. As good as the LS series engines are, they will never outdo the old 350 in my book.
Now you're just being delusional.... :jester:

You are showing your lack of experience here young man.

Those old 350s had great torque. They had more grunt than a lot of modern V8s. The emphasis was not on a horsepower war then. Many V8s were under-rated to keep them off of the insurance company radar.

I had a 350 in all of my 90s trucks and I pulled a heavy boad a shitload of miles. They did great.

The 350 had instant torque. Something you don't see in many modern engines.

The 350 has always had "that sound" that everyone likes

I will forever miss my old 94 Silverado! It was the best sounding truck I ever owned and it pulled my boat all over Texas.
What? Someone calling for an L31 here? :D

While it is a nice truck, and appears to be in good condition, it is still a 20 year old ex-military vehicle equipped with what were considered basic options even in it's day. There is no way that truck is worth $12k in "real" market terms (not saying somebody won't pay that). It probably only stickered in the low $20's brand new (and probably cost the military $16k). PERSONALLY, I wouldn't pay over $5k for it, even in EXCELLENT condition.

That truck will bring ten grand plus all day long. The rarity of one in that condition dictates a high price. Military versions also got a nice axle upgrade as part of their agreement.

Its worth every bit of it. even if you found a decent, fairly rust free restorable one, you couldn't restore it to that condition for that price.

If I were close, it would be mine.
