I wanna try pioneer with remote and motorized face down flip but crutchfield didnt have one under $300. All they had was $1200 pioneer that would fit a 97 K1500 ext cab third cab door.

Motorized face plates are becoming less and less popular. Sure it's cool, but it's completely useless and is just another thing that could stop working.

How much power are you planning on running to your speakers?

If you're just going to run it from the head unit, 12 guage is WAY overkill, and a lot of work for nothing.

12 gauge is overkill for most people's subwoofers. FFS, the 20-amp circuits in your house are wired with 12 gauge wire, you do not need wire that large to power a 6-1/2" speaker.

Factory wiring is probably 18 guage... Which is MORE than enough for the head unit to power.

The reason for 12 gauge is I'm cinsidering on adding a 4 channel amp to the 2 door speakers and the 2 rear speakers later on.

Plus I have buddy in stereo installation and he said 12 gauge is the best on a amp or no amp stereo system. He said the sthe smaller the wire the better the chances of the speaker to not wont if there was a short in the wire somewhere.

Is your buddy selling you the wire?

Until you get the 4 channel amp installed, you don't need to touch the wires, unless you have a short. Even then, there's no point in running wires into the dash, your 4 channel amp won't be going behind the radio.

You will notice no difference in sound between 18 guage and 12 guage wire until you start running high power.

100 watts RMS and higher per speaker, kind of power.

Your factory speaker wires are plenty until you put that amp in.

Ok, Do I have to get special flash drive for car stereos to play music from the USB port? My teacher has cd player with USB and flashdrive but he said the player only up to the first 99 on the flashdrive but it will play the rest in cycles of 100. He has 300 songs on the flashdrive.

That is a problem with his CD player, not the flash drive. Any standard flash drive should work fine.
