Keep in mind the FPR is internal & attached to the ijnector module and you'll have to remove the plenum to get to it

What about doing a smoke test on the evap and injector balance test?
If I end end replacing the spiders which am I better off doing the CFI or the conversion to MFI?

Have you checked the Fuel Pressure Regulator yet ??????????????

No I havent had chance yet. I have been getting a gut feeling thats its the spiders.

Remember the KISS Principle...
Keep
It
Simple
Stupid

Check the easy and cheap stuff first....
Why start think of expensive and complicated stuff when you won't even check the cheap and easy stuff???? :dunno:

Your GUT ain't got nothing to do with what is wrong with your truck...

:werd:

The fuel pressure regulator is the easiest and cheapest thing to change.

All the extra's your starting to think about is like turning the key on your truck, hearing nothing, and instead of checking the battery, you're swapping out the ignition.

How was your fuel pressure while driving?

Dont have vaccum hose to the fuel pressure regulator. The fuel pressure regulator is under the intake manifold along with the injectors.

Problem fixed after converting cfi to mfi fuel injection conversion. No more hard starting. Starts faster than the old cfi system did. I had to replace the spark plugs because they were contaminated from the old fuel system running too rich and plus had one plug with a broken ceremic around the electrode part of the plug after 3,000 miles.

It's been a long hard battle but I'm very happy to see it's been worth it  So how does it drive on the road?

Its acts like it gained little extra horsepower and doesnt take much to get it to go when pressing the gas pedal too. Like before had to really press it to get to go at high speeds on the interstate and when hauling heavy stuff. I'll have to try it out soon when hauling something heavy.
