Well, the "tapping the battery cable" statement leads me to believe it is a cable issue. I would start there.
I agree but where should I start? Im thinking of replacing the positive cable it's just $12.00 bucks give me more ideas. Advance has Delco Remy starters I wonder if O'Rielly's will return my money for the new Ultra starter I have on my truck?
Again I hate for me not trusting my truck when im out and about or mostly on a trip which I have one coming up.

It is very odd to go through as many starters as you are talking about. Not saying this one ISN'T bad but I would definitely go for a new battery and cables first. I have had more than one junk side post in a GM style battery.
Remove the starter and have it tested while you are doing all of this. While you are doing cables, do a "Big 3" upgrade since you have all that high powered stereo gear. You can find the details here on the site.
