I got an answer about A2W with a Whipple.

air to air intercoolers won't work with a whipple because the way its designed with the TB on the intake side of the compressor, every bit of volume that you add after the compressor will reduce the efficiency and boost of the blower, with an air to air you have SO much post blower volume that it would virtually make the blower worthless, with the air to water, you only have a small amout of added volume, and even with that small amount, people were seeing ~1-2psi boost loss, and when you're only running 6-8psi, thats a decent amount. think what it would be with all that air to air piping.

Back on the topic of getting or not getting the S/C, I asked if the rotors were loose and the seller said they are solid and appears the unit has been rebuilt recently.

Looks more and more like I might be going for it!!!! :willy:

It appears to have been removed well, all the nuts and bolts, washers, still has the manual, drive belts, and he has 100% positive feed back, on 27 items, so it looks like he is a stand-up kind of guy, I would jump on it..:)

I'm pretty sure I'll be jumping on it tomorrow morning. Gotta head out to work now.

Unless you know the seller and the vehicle it was on, I would be leery and consider sending it into Whipple for a look over. I am a tad picky about these things though- so it could be just me.

If you do get one, convert to a marine intake.
I'm making that swap anyways along with the 0411. Basically, I'm doing everything that would be needed for a S/C anyways so I might as well take advantage and add that too.

I would bid on this one. But only bid WHAT you are willing to pay for it. There's only 3 days left. Never know, could get it pretty cheap.
The problem with this one is that being an auction, it can go much higher than what I'm looking to pay. Another guy said he paid $1800 for his on eBay a couple years ago.

Before I buy anything, I'm asking the sellers questions.

I have to buy this unit used though. They're not made anymore. I don't know if Maggie makes one yet or not, but I don't think they do.

This one is listed as "new", but I find that very hard to believe. It's missing the belt (I'd replace that anyways) and some hardware (don't know extactly what that means). I'll be watching it, but I'm not going to worry about it much. The only thing is that these aren't really posted on eBay that often.
