Mine is paid for, it's not going anywhere.

Besides, fitting the two of us, two dogs (one near 100lbs) and all of our gear and getting us to the lake every weekend isn't something I want to do in a smaller vehicle.

BUT, we do have the 30+mpg Jetta for those time when it's just she and I.

Paid for is exactly why my truck is not going anywhere!

That's why my Burban isn't going anywhere. We do drive the Altima a lot more than the Burban when we are all riding together though. The main exception is road trips though. I will gladly pay for fuel cost to have twice as much room and much more comfort than riding in the Altima.

Why we bought a V6 that gets 31mpg.

that is true.. i bought the harley for this reason, sorta. i wanted one and it just makes fiscal sence..

I have a 50 mile daily commute but car pool with my roommate (fans of Grandma's Boy will get the joke) in an 04 Malibu that gets 30+ on the highway. Anything farther than that trip to work though and we take the Jeep or my dad's Sierra. Do take the Jeep to work sometimes though...

Bah it wont make many people stop it our gas is around $1.31 L which is pretty much $5 a gallon and honestly no one has really changed their driving habits. Every construction company still drives lifted trucks. I think there are more trucks on the road than ever here I guess people are just reaching the point where they just dont care. I sooner drive something I like, than drive some little car and be unhappy...

I'm just glad that we're doing everything we can to avoid this. You know, drilling more to buy time. Drilling more in spots currently unallowed. And using that time to come up with a cheaper, better alternative to crude oil.

Oh wait . . .
