Remember just one thing....
MAMA wants the Super Duty...
It is "YOU" that's wants the Eco Boost...

Mama needs to be happy...or....

Go from there...
I want an eco-boost. She hasn't fully decided yet. she wants to drive the eco-boost more.

Ridgeline.
I said wife, not boyfriend

Get mama a tbss so she can have something that gets worse mileage than you. :jester:
If she doesn't like her tahoe because its not big enough, why would she want one of those?

Sorry, IFS Is for half tons

True...damn those 2011 GM 1/2 tons that will out tow, out pull, out stop, and drink less than those SFA trucks.....

Weird, I pulled this data off both vehicle makers sites. This is current for 2011.
with a 5.3 and a regular cab 2wd(highest rated for bumper pull) is 10,000lbs
5th wheel max weight with a 5.3 is 9600 in the extended cab 4wd version

ad the 6.2 and you get 10,700 bumper pull and 10,600 fifth wheel. Mind you these are half tons, because that is what you decided to use as an arguement...

Fords SFA trucks are rated at a max of 13800 with a diesel and bumper pull and 16400 with a fifth wheel. If you want to compare gas then its 12500 and 15200. Weird, but both of those numbers seem bigger than the half ton Chevy's. But to be fair, I'll compare half tons for you.

The F-150 with the 3.5L Turbo will tow 11,300 lbs bumper pull and 11,300 fifth wheel. So, Im curious how it is that chevy's will out tow, or out pull or out stop or whatever it is you think they do? You realize the 3.5L eco-boost is 365HP and gets 21MPG? My tahoe, which always get better MPG's than the trucks barely gets 20 on the freeway.

That would probably be a good idea...
Personally, I think the Eco-Boost seems like one heck of an engine.
I probably need to go drive one myself and get a better idea of how they run.

We are going to the dealer again tomorrow to put some more miles on the truck. I thank god she is being open minded. the payments on a half ton are about 150 a month less

Windsheild time is the best way to determine what truck you want. I hear good things about the ecoboost. I look forward to driving one sometime.
