I sure hope something works out. My bank knows I have more money credited in a month than whats going out, I really do hope it works out well. Where again will I get the exact color & trim pkg this affordable.

And being a good sport is my nature :tmc:

White looks cool for the Malibu.

I agree, it looks very clean, professional like, and 'fresh'.
The LTZ pkg is just the icing on the cake

I really like the LTZ package...
Good luck...

ME TOO!! Those seats were so comfortable. The heated leather, color contrasts, its all spot on perfect! As not to forget the full DIC and digital A/C.

The only thing that car lacks is the 3.6L V6, and a moonroof. Which aren't necessities to me anyways.

they say that teh 6 spd tranmission makes teh 4 seem pretty peppy

In the 2 I4 6spd Malibu's I've driven already, it is a bit responsive. The most important thing is the cruising mpg which I think that combo will be just fine in.

For the little extra money you can get twice the car as eiaghter of those two with 305 H/P and it gets the same or even better MPG!! It's also tons more fun to drive....

Honest opinion on the two your looking at. For comuter cars they are nice, I have had and lived with both as rentals for few months while traveling for work. The Malibu LTZ is much nicer on the inside, the 4 cly gets good MPG while the v-6 kinda sucks in comparrison to the Mustang and it's v-6. The Fusion was fun car to drive but just felt cheap.

I personally would save and spend extra for a 2011 Mustang V-6 and call it done. It's an amazing car, it fast, handles well, gets great MPG and when it comes to a quality build it's awsome!! Yes I will still compare it's fit and finish to a Honda any day. Ford has it going on with the new Mustangs!!

Did you buy the car yet?

Not yet... Ran into Financing issues.. Dealership does not want to finance me because my score is only a few points off.....

....F$%& S*&^ C#$% damn it mother F%^# C$#@ S%^& B*&%$....

Ok, feel better now.. But yeah, so far its scratchy. I have about $3,000 for a down pay and that isn't enough to insure well enough that I can make honest payments + more. And I will not use my truck has collateral. Went to my local bank today, appt on Monday afternoon with the loan officer to see what I can do. If not I'll try scraping up some more cash. If I cant figure anything out i'll just need to let it go and try for another later on, spend more on the credit card and pay off some more, and save for a larger down..

Any advice? I really want this '09..

Banks are not eager to loan out money. Just know that you "can" get a loan no matter what but you want to get the lowest interest possible. They are going to try and put you in a 13-15% interest... the car is not worth it.

Work on your credit and get it where it needs to be to get the best interest rate. You will be able save more cash.

It is a good idea to have 6 months of cash reserve to cover everything if something were to happen to your job.

If this doesn't work out look into the Dave Ramsey thing. Put the $3000 cash towards a used car. Drive it for a year and save up another $3000+ cash. More than likely that 3000 dollar car will still be worth that. After 2 years you could be in a $6000-10,000 car that's paid for instead of having a payment.

This doesn't work for everyone but we always think we need the nicest things.

The moonroof is a cool feature for any car. About the V-6: back here it's not available for the Malibu because it's already offered in the RWD Chevrolet Omega imported from Australia.
