Clean trucks just look "wrong" to me. It's a truck, it's supposed to get dirty, right? :dunno:

Is that a rule? Personally, I do it because I enjoy detailing....it's relaxing.

That, and I've worked my butt off to pay for my truck through college. I'll be damned if I'm going to treat it like crap. If I pay for it I'm going to take care of it.

Whoa... Easy there Matt. :)

This is just my perception I'm talking about. It's your truck and I wouldn't dream of telling you what to do with it or how to take care of it.

And I never said to treat 'em like crap. To me, a truck is a tool, and like any tool it's made to be used. Getting used means it's going to get dirty, dented, dinged, scratched and worn over time. But, also like any good tool, it should be maintained, cleaned and cared for so it lasts a long time.

Big difference between being used and being abused.
(Though in my case it usually involves her keeping the house and the furniture)

I knew that would sound too serious. :D

I was just putting my reason for keeping it clean---didn't mean to imply anything about what you said. I agree with you.
