Woo Hoo its finally done and Joe has it now. How many weeks ago was it this got started and should have been a 2 day deal? A day to strip it and get it to the machine shop for cleaning, then next day pick it up from the machine shop and assemble. Between bad cores and damaged hard parts, to acquiring the right parts form differant locations, this was the worst nightmare trans I ever built. Also in between my dads gunshot, the holidays, my son being in town and working, time wasn't plentiful. But, its done, and done right. Provided that core case has all its passages cleaned out, it oughta be able to tolerate some heavy duty abuse and give consistant firms shifts !!! Not interested in doing another one anytime soon. Now I get to start on my bro's Turbo 350 for his El Camino, then I'll finally get to build my own 700r4 for the 85 K 1500 4x4 I bought last month !!! That's one I'll be looking forward to doing.
