SUPERCHARGER.

but honestley i have removed my cats, i lost some bottome end torque, ang moved the torque curve a little higher in the rpm range. although that may hurt the 0-60 time, a supercharger will cure that. :D

I have a question about the x-pipe thing, how close to the headers do they have to be, i don`t have one but my banks "y" into single after about 2 feet after the headers, does it truely have to "cross" back to a duals to be an effective "x",or is a high flow "Y" able to scavenge abit too? i kinda think so, maybe just not quite as effective.

Am I reading this right? You're wanting to put an x-pipe on a single exhaust setup..??

It's virtually impossible for you to lose bottom end torque by removing the catalyst with a straight pipe.

no, not much point, my real question was were the "x" has to be located in assosiation to the headers, i used my truck as a bad example....:D

hmmmm, well, i`ts definatley impossible to tell now wit the supercharger....:D

Yeah, I was trying to figure out what the other side of the "x" was going to connect to. :D

Well, if you replaced the cat with a larger diameter pipe then it is possible to lose torque simply by condensing the flow and the reduction of velocity; and the resulting loss of pulse tuning energy.

If you just take a 2.5" catalyst and install a 2.5" pipe then you will not lose any power. You will probably gain a small amount on the top 1/3rd of your RPM range on a relatively stock motor.

The underlying theme here is that backpressure will never create power. It only serves to hinder power production because it is a direct restriction on exhaust flow.

:withstupid:

Kind of on hold at the moment due to funding.:(

But I just got word this afternoon tha I will be taking my ship to the ship yard October 19. Be there for about 3-4 weeks. That little trip will fund my headers and true dual exhaust. Just my little Thanksgiving appreciation gift to myself.
