That is a pretty good idea but I like my dash mounts for videos more because the camera adjusts to the outside lighting better IMO. I should upload the instructions on another thread.
But I'll be building one like that aswell.
Any of you know how to get a mount for a DroidX attached to something like that?
That's cool. I like the idea for the same reason. Unfortunately for me, I don't think my big DSLR and lens combo will fit up there. That is a pretty good idea but I like my dash mounts for videos more because the camera adjusts to the outside lighting better IMO. The Motorola Droid X car dock. You have to take off the case, but it works perfectly for recording while you drive. I strongly considered one:Any of you know how to get a mount for a DroidX attached to something like that?

Same reason I didn't go that way. I'm about to pull the trigger on the Verizon case that has the kickstand. Thanks Matt.
I was just looking at one of those. I am not too keen about taking its case off though![]()
Thanks, man!Great writeup!

I do have a questionAny of you know how to get a mount for a DroidX attached to something like that?
I have been wanting a more study mount for my phone to take videos while driving and this looks like it will work if I can figure out how to mount the camera part?
I have two phone mounts like this: (one attached to a bean bag thing and one attached to a suction cup) They have way too much bounce in them
