Here's some pics of the install, video will have to wait. It's starting to rain here and I need to take the truck off of the ship to get a better audio clip, too much echo and background noise from machinery on the boat.
I ran the wire for the cutout into the cab but I can't go any further with it until I get my wiring supplies. Those are at home, but that gives me a little time to decide where to mount the switch. On to the pics;
Cutout welded in and pipe painted, why did I paint it? Because I wanted to.
Mounted with turn-down.
Cutout.
I know it's real hard to tell but this is the cross member and the joint for the cutout starts right there. That's as close as I could get the thing with the stuff I had here.
I ran the wire for the electric cutout up through the rocker panel area. I really don't like to drill holes in the floor board but that's where they ran the wires for my remote on the tonneau cover and it hasn't leaked yet. That was installed 5 years ago, so I went with it.
Hole is all siliconed on both sides and the wire is tucked and tied nice and close with the original wiring. I had just enough wire to run it up the kick panel right by the E-brake, I'll need more wire to complete the run. Where ever that ends up being.
