New or Used?

Which do you tend to buy most often, new or used trucks?

But, with the current price of a new F150 Supercrew...I'm thinking I will be buying slightly used, under 20K miles...

I generally buy new, but the last two times I have bought vehicles, they have both been used. My current truck is an 07, and I am not so sure I did a good thing. Seems like there are a few little things that make me nervous about it since I got it home and have had a chance to really thoroughly go over it with a fine tooth comb.

I would buy new all the time but since im not making what I was in money and I see now that it's smarter to buy used meaning a truck with low miles and so the first owner to take the hit in losing money. NWSCREW is doing the right thing to me. But that's just my two cents on buying trucks.

New mostly, the used ones all had one purpose of restore or hotrod. So I guess I would really be in the New category since the used ones were all toys or projects.

I voted other because I am not opposed to buying new but most of the time it does not make financial sense. In some cases it does but in my latest purchase, my current silverado, I bought it certified used and right at a year old for $20,000 less than an identical new one would sticker for. I know with incentives and rebates I would never pay sticker but I doubt I would have got anywhere near 20,000 off of a new truck at the time I was buying.

I generally just buy new trucks because I have been lucky enough to be able to afford it, but I would not hesitate to buy a used one from somebody that I knew if they had taken good care of it.

As some of you know, I buy cars for a living. I've seen most all of the tricks and shady crap people will pull when selling a car. Most people will flat out lie about the condition of a car when they are selling it. For that reason I have a real distrust for buying a used vehicle from a stranger. Unless it's a toy or hotrod project, it likely isn't going to happen.

I like getting the projects truck for free. I buy used 98 and older. If want to change the exhaust its 1980 and older.
