As seen on page 4, remove the lens from the light shell.

Ya put em in the oven for 10mins at 200 degrees, and pry the lens off with a flathead, exactly like the headlamp/fog lamp method. Only probably nobody but me has discovered this trick yet to paint the inside. There isn't a DIY Harley tail write up anywhere,, that is until I do it tomorrow morning

It'll look sweet man. Nearly every taillight can be painted to gibve the low 30% darkness to it. Ford's little secret, but they let it slip for 2009. Its clearly obvious in the new tails that painting the shell is how the Harley tails, and Raptors are dark. Just as obvious as it is the headlamps. This will start saving people $160 for HD tails.

Yeah man, I painted the reverse section only if you haven't noticed on page 4. Tomorrow I do the whole thing to my stockers. But a early morning bath for the truck comes first.

Notice the little socket on the bottom? There is no light there. Wonder what Ford's intention was for it? Side markers for European vehicles?

first off the tails look great darren. cant wait to see the end product for your truck.

secondly you should cut a whole and mount another brake light bulb for that lower part

Ive considered it. A little side marker LED with brake light and signal ability would be sweet. Maybe in the future.
