I had a Optima Red top in my first truck, seemed fine then but I only had the truck 5 months after. That was when Optima was supposivly a real good battery. My stock battery in my current truck went out after 5 years, normal lifetime of a battery, Now have a Napa brand 800cca and its treating me well. 5 year warranty, $110 out the door.

get a interstate battery

Dave a have a Interstate battery and they last me just 3.5 years at the most. I never knew Duralast batteries lasted that long I was going to go with Wally World the next time but I think I just changed my mind since I learned about Duralast.

I never had problems with interstate batteries. I know those everstart batteries at wal-mart are junk.

Dave how long do your batteries last you meaning Interstate? I have never had one last as long as what some members said Auto Zone lasted. Plus Interstate pro-rates there batteries one can't beat a free replacement and no cost that's a deal.

the new ones just arent what they used to. and you could buy like 3-4 batterys for the price of the 1. i have one but i dont think i would pay for another.

some of the duralast have 3-4 year free replacement, while optima is only 1

I currently have an AC Delco in this truck. When the time comes, I'll probably purchase another Duralast.
