Finally got back to working on the 496" BBC engine ..



Been honing the cylinder bores ..
Won't be long till one bank is done and be able to move the torque plate to the other bank ..

Not by very much ..

Still hot as a fresh fu*ked fox in a forest fire here in central Florida !!
But I did manage to cool down the work area enough to get back at it ...

Well ... Got to buy more honing stones ..
Was going to use the 280 grit as the finish, but I did some research on these kick-ass Wiseco pistons that have a coating on the skirts ...



The 280 grit ain't going to cut it ..

Needs 400 grit or better ...
Be .0005" to hone out of the bores with those bad-boys ..

And here I thought I was done buying stones to do this hone job ... Eek !
(Would had been if I bought cheaper pistons)
But noooooo, had to get the good shi errrr stuff for this stroker build ... !
