Was needing some parts to freshen up the Cadillac column ..

Called a company that specifically deals in older Caddy parts, bout 8 parts are needed .
They didn't have none of what I needed ... Well so much for new old stock ..

Okay, the search was on for a junk column, hoping the parts I need will still be serviceable ?
Found one out of a 76 Eldo, the whole column with the steering wheel intact ... It's more than what I need, but in order to get the parts I'm after, got little choice in the matter ..

Dealing with 50 year old obsoleted parts is a pita !!

Going to have some leftovers .. Oh well, it is what it is..
( Wonder if Johnny Cash would have a need for leftover Caddy parts .. ?? ... Naw, he's probably got a barn full already )

BTW, this car does really exists ... I saw it at the Johnny Cash Museum on 31E going into Nashville ...
One ugly looking car .. I'm here to tell ya !!
The base car (Running gear) was a 63 Deville, rest of it was parts from many different year Cadillacs, just like his song tells the story ...

Polished the SS trim a bit ...

That's all the loving it's going to see from me ...
Three more to go ..

Two of those whiskers goes on the inside window frame garnish ..Still undecided rather to wood grain or paint them the same color as the truck will be .. ??

This will be the second one ... First one was used and bad chrome.
The one coming is Nos, and should look like new $$ ..

Going to have a few coins wrap up in the dash with all the work that I put into it not to mention materials and hard to find parts ..

But it's safe to say " Will be sweet as Brandywine "

More dash shi .... stuff ...

Back when I converted the vacuum wipers to electric, also ordered a delay control switch ..
The shaft was to big for allowing the stock IH knob to work ..
A little Mickey Mouse on my part made a knob that hid most of the kit's knob ... Still it stood out like a sore thumb ..

Contacted the company that made the kit and told them I'll like to kick the Mickey Mouse knob to the curb and install a factory stock IH knob ..

They said ' No Biggie " We got ya covered ....

Now all the knobs will look like back in the day stuff ...
