Ok, so I had an awakening this weekend. My daughters are both in competition dance. We had a competition Saturday that my parents came to. Mid way through the day one daughter was done and the other had two more dances to go, so I went to take the family home that was done. Well, I didn't have enough seating. I couldn't take Emma with me.

This is a situation I have been telling myself wouldn't come up that much, but I was fooling myself. I have yet another kid on the way in June. This is going to come up a lot.

Long and short. My desire to have a new 2500 oil burner was clouding my judgment.

Sooooo, here's the new plan. I'm going to keep my paid for truck (and install 4.10 gears if needed) and I'm looking at a 15-17 Yukon Denali.

It will be enough to pull my trailer with equalizer hitch around for short trips and the silverado will make the longer ones and for times I need a bed.

The 2500 diesel will have to wait a few years.

I don't think you're nuts...you're thinking outside the box and putting your needs in front of your wants.

If I could have all the money back that I wasted on "good enough" tow items, and vehicles, I could have 3 new rigs.

:jester:

I had a Yukon SLT for a couple days last week. Nice rig.

Good luck on the search!

Man if I could get a diesel SUV I would. I would jump on a new excursion.

That duraburb looks freaking cool, but I'm not going to buy a used 2500 burb and then stick another $20,000+ for a conversion. Lol

I still will have a HD in my future but just not at the moment.

Get a Yukon XL Denali and don't look back. We love the extra room in the Burb over the Acadia. So nice to be able to have all the seats up and still have room for Hunters wheel chair in the back.

I'm looking at both the standard Yukon and xl.

I would definitely get the xl if it would be my primary people mover, but I'll have the truck and Lauren's van so I'm good with what ever I find.
