Window Tint Question

I call bullshit on anybody being able to see out of anything darker than 20% at night. Even 20% makes it tough to see anything that isn't extremely well lit.

You are fooling yourself just to "be cool".

Well i know my young whipper snapper self can lol. My front windows i see just fine through. My back windows are usless i am too high up to even see shit so i use my front windows and mirrors. Big truck problems. Lol

Explain to me how you can take "dark" and then remove 80% of the available light... and still see anything.

I'll wait.

I'm not talking about seeing a car headlight. I've had plenty of trucks with 20% on the sides and you can't see shit that isn't WELL lit at night.

A lot of the problem with tinting over the factory tint is the reflection you get from the tint, not just the darkness. You end up seeing more light from the stereo and gauges then you do the outside.

To each their own, but I would never go any darker then 15%. It's just asking for trouble in my opinion. 20% seems to be the most tolerated percentage when it comes to the cops.

I'm not talking about seeing a car headlight. I've had plenty of trucks with 20% on the sides and you can't see shit that isn't WELL lit at night.

Well shit in a non lit area with no tint you cant see things lol. Half the time I have my windows down anyway... dark tint keeps thieves eyes off my shit.... in the day light you cant even see my steering wheel through the front lol.

My good eyes are still on point. In 20 years yes i wont be able to see shit through em lol.

Wow this thread escalated quickly

My windows on my truck are HUGE, so during the day in the parking lot they let a shit ton of light in. I'm doing it for theives as well as heat reasons. I'll see what the tint guy says. He told me he had some samples I could look through so we shall see what I do next week.

I have factory on everything but the front doors, and I have 20% on the front doors. I won't go any darker than that. Like Zem said, its too hard to see out of that shit at night.
