Gary. It sounds like they are guessing. The intake spider is just piping and injectors... how the hell could that "go bad" and suddenly cause the truck not to start?

I don't buy it.

I have to agree with JIM on this one...
UNLESS the electronics went out in the control head...

I have heard of it being the spider lines or line. This happen to this truck at a shop my son was working at well after they replaced the fuel pump it was the spider.

PS-I THINK the fuel regulator is under the spider consider replacing it while your there. If it's not the regulator it's some part that's under there you might find out what part it is. My truck is a 93 model it doesn't have that stuff.

I'll be going to the dealership to pay for the diagnosis & get more info.But in the meantime this is what it looks like(if you've never seen one)and it includes an FPR.
