When I was in high school I walked past a Jaguar, Triumph and MG dealership twice a day, every day, to and from school. Many is the afternoon I spent in the showroom or shop areas. I'm probably one of the few people left in the US who actually knows how to properly synchronize the six carbs on a V12 XKE.

Ok, that sounds great!!! Well, not the part about the alcohol allergy or the fact that I might loss. Just that I don't have to pay shipping on a heavy box. We were the only ones playing Semo's game. I think we were set up.

Yeah, it's kinda weird... She used to drink when she was in college, but then it started tasting "funny" (she describes it as all tasting like rubbing alcohol). Her doctor diagnosed it as an actual allergy to alcohol. She's also allergic to pot.

She tells a story though, of going on a trip to Italy and sitting down to dinner in a nice restaurant but refusing the wine they offered. The waiter became insulted that she was refusing the wine they were offering for free and she had to explain about the allergy... Next thing she knows is the whole staff is gathered around, and the owner sitting down at the table with her, to hear about this terrible tragedy that had befallen such a nice Italian lady. She says the waiter was so upset he looked ready to burst into tears, because he (his word) "stupidly" took offense at her refusal, not knowing that she had such a terrible affliction!

On the plus side, if you ever go to dinner with us you know you'll have at least two sober drivers.
