Here is what I know, and grant it, it's not much..lol

T5/ T45 5 speed tranny's, came in the 82- 01 Mustang's, for both the V6 (T45 I believe), and the T5 in the GT, not Ford's strongest tranny.

TR-3650 (Tremec) 5 speed tranny, came in the later 01-04 Mustang GT, Mach1, and early (non-supercharged) Cobras, very tough tranny.

T56 (Tremec) 6 speed tranny, came in the terminator Mustang Cobra's (supercharged), but the draw back for the trans plant, is rear end gearing, if your going with big rear end gears, this would be the way to go, otherwise, I would go with the TR-3650.

That is more than I knew. Will the later model options bolt to a 302? Also, you are correct about the rear end gearing. That is yet another issue I have to figure out. I am thinking it will be either 3:55's or 3:73's.

I do not know, it may require an adapter plate, if you are think the 3:55's, or 73's, I would probably stick with the TR-3650 5 speed.
