Isn't AC Delco a GM product? I have always thought that if I get a GM of any kind I would run AC Delco.

yup...its a gm product.....i'll tell ya a quick way to find the cylinder thats missing...just pull the plug wires off one at a time till you pull one that dont change the way its running and thats the bad one....

I was just using AC Delco as an example of keeping with OEM parts. :dunno:

I have noticed that the parts stores in this area keeps AC Delco on the shelf but motorcraft tends to be left out.

try the trick with pulling one plug wire at a time and let me know how that works out,,,when you find that cylinder pull the plug and get some one to crank the engine ...then you'll be able to tell if its getting compression....if so tell me what you need and i can get it and ship it to you...or order online either way...

That is a good idea. I am still not convinced it even has a dead cylinder. I will go back out there when the rain stops and re-install the plugs.

I pulled the plugs already so I can do a compression check. I did not know my tester would be bad. I hate Sears products. I am glad I stopped buying them. Unfortunately I still have some left overs.

ok...so do the plugs and see if that makes a difference...if not try pulling the wires and putting them back on individually...let us know how it works out!

I have a better idea. I am just going to hang the engine and drop in Cummins 6BT. That should only take a few minutes.
