I have a parking garage at work, and I get a driveway spot at home. When I go out for errands I park away from everyone, however, my nerf bars hinder most doors from hitting mine.

I park far away from the store and cross a couple parking spaces... Usually 5 times out of 10 I will find people parked as I am when I get out of the store...

You know there was a time when I thought that it would be a good idea to remove the door trim... I found out this would be a stupid thing to do cause before I had the dealer replace the trim on the driver side for being higher than the passenger side I noticed on the old piece that some car opened their door into it... Scratched it all up!

We (my wife and I) head straight for the back of the lot, only park in an end spot and then park as close to the line next to the curb as possible. There have been several times we have gone to a restaurant where the lot was full so we parked at a neighboring business where there were vacant spots and just walked. A little walking never hurt anyone. I have my own parking spot at work and all the vehicles are protected in the garage when they at the house. I can't remember the last time we have gotten a door ding. Besides, going straight to the back of the lot and walking is usually quicker than those that drive around trying to find that perfect spot up close. Stupid. :D

I park my Burb where it will fit,not too good of a turning radius.Usually out in the south 40.Acouple of weeks ago my wifey and I were at a local HD with tons of open parking spaces and while we were loading a sheet of plywood and a couple of other things this idiot pulls up opposite us nose to nose, hits the front of the Burb enough to where it was rockin'.I go see WTF? He says sorry,I look at his dented bumper and kind of laugh. You see he hit the winch mount and the truck he was driving was relatively new with a thin bumper...idiot!!

I park where there is only one spot on the side of me or way out in the middle of no where. Yet somehow the shittiest car in the entire parking lot finds me and parks right next to me..

Walmart parking lots are the scariest around here...and it really doesn't make any difference if you park "way the hell out" as the lame, halt, and blind shoppers in these parts just leave their grocery carts scattered about in the parking lot...thus, leaving your truck at the mercy of a run-away one. :fume:

 That's a big part of why I avoid Walmart as much as possible!

I get the handicapped spot when I go to a store or restaurant. It really pisses me off when old ladies look at me all crazy when I get out my truck. They look at me like "WTF are you doing in the old people spot". I would love it if one of them actually asked me if I was handicapped. Just because I'm young and not in a wheelchair doesnt mean I'm not handicapped.:D At home I park in the driveway under the carport (unless my wife beats me to it). But the carport is long enough that 1 1/2 cars can fit under it. Like if its raining, her car can fit with my burban behind it, but from right at the back doors on back, that portion of my truck sticks out and gets rained on. But I dont mind cuz I can still stay dry gettin in my truck.
