Re: Wheels - Time for some changes

The Wife looked at the various wheels in the thread and although she liked some of them, she still thinks my Jesters are her favorite. :frustration:

What if I kept my wheels and replaced the boring, flat button head bolts with some s/s 12point bolts, or better yet a s/s stud with a 12 point nut for that 'spike' look.

I like black wheels with some silver trim. I can't stand all black wheels on most vehicles.

Yes, I am well aware of that Jim. :D

Do bolt heads count as silver trim? :dunno:

I guess they could on some wheels. I mostly like the silver/black accents though. Not much here actually looks any better than what you already have on your truck to me :dunno:

Your truck works with black wheels. I just don't like it when people take a bone stock truck and slap on black wheels.

Ok, thanks for the clarification, we're in agreement and good morning J.

I already had a buyer lined up for my current wheels and tires too this spring.

Re: Wheels - Time for some changes

Thanks.

How would you recommend I go about getting exact measurements of the face of my Jesters? I could have that waterjet company that cut my skidplate cut out 5 beadlock rings that match the face of the Jesters exactly, I could then have them anodized in the exact same color as the coilovers to bring more of that color into the truck.

I could try and measure and create them in illustrator, they would have to be an exact match though so they followed the lines of the wheel face with those 8 sections where the bolts are.

Or I would need a perfect straight on shot of the wheel and trace them, then enlarge to the right size.

A beadlock ring on the Jesters would sort of have this type of look, just a flatter ring in copper ano.

have you looked at the machined diesels? those are kinda cool lookin. the machining is more of a gunship gray. they look really good in person. i still like the fuel kranks.

i also think you should do some photoshops with BMF's

Copper bead lock rings will look odd, IMO. Keep the colors inside the wheel wells and under the truck.

Bead locks in a silver or gray would be okay, just not copper.

I thought those only came in 18's. Not crazy about the indents on the outer edge of the rim.

You and your BMF's lol.
