Trying to figure out where the cab roof is leaking from. :fume:
I thought the most common places were the windshield and 3rd brake light on the 400's. To my knowledge though, I don't have any problems.....I hope.

Not a damn thing. Its been sitting all day with the sunshade in it.

Put a drivers mirror on it and tried fixing the back window.

that would be my toughts too:dunno:

Well, it's not the windshield, as far as I can tell, because the water is dripping further back in the cab.

I first suspected it was the antenna mount in the center of the cab, those mounts use a very thin O-ring to seal to the cab and you get leaks when the roof flexes, but a bead of silicone around the base eliminated that as a possibility.

Then I thought it might be the cab lights, and the cracked plastic around the screws seemed to bear that out, so I bought a new set of LED's with new bases.

Still had the leak.

Then I saw that the bases (despite being OEM) were not quite sealing to the roof, so I took 'em all off, put a bead of silicone down, then reinstalled them while the silicone was still wet. Should be a perfect seal now but, as soon as I started driving it yesterday I had several drops of water fall from the driver's sun visor... and it hadn't rained that night, just a heavy morning dew.

Yeah, at first it was leaking in the front center, and the drips were coming down right on the radios on the tranny hump. That's when I did the silicone on the antenna mount.

After that it seemed like the leak "moved" and now it drips from the drivers visor (drops land on the top of the column, behind the wheel). I'm gonna reseal all the lights and the antenna mount and see if that helps. If not, then I'll try a bead of silicone on the upper windshield seal. If that doesn't fix it I may have to drop the headliner and get a friend to spray it with a hose while I look for where the leak is.

I'm saving that as a last resort since I'd want to pull all the radios and other electronics from the cab before doing that.
