Towed a 6'x10' semi-enclosed (its that steel, expanded wire stuff; no top to it) trailer to help move a friend. Had to go over a couple hills, but took it nice and slow and let the truck go at its own pace.
Even with just the empty trailer, the truck drives differently. I blame it on the fact that the sides of the trailer are 3" higher than the truck = lots of wind resistance.

Was that your first time pulling a trailer?

Nope. I just didn't feel like pushing the truck and I wan't in a hurry. It was 45 minutes one way with the trailer full. I had one windy hill to go up (about 30to 35 mph) and one straight hill (about 55 to 60). I got a run at them and kept my momentum up as much as I could. The truck wasn't running hot at all (even with 80 deg. air temp and 90% humidity). I could see my temp gauge (as inaccurate as it may be) fluctuate downwards. I've towed 6,000lbs for 3 1/2 hours on the interstate before (not in OD).

I drove it to the park to let the kiddos play on the slides and teeter totters for a while.
