Installed an 87 octane tune with my new Autocal. Since I won't be towing much the rest of the year I can do without the few extra ponies the 93 octane tune gives me.

I let the truck sit in the garage like it usually does :D But I need to get new sparkplugs and wires, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator and serpentine belt.
Whoa, who woke you up from "summer hibernation"? Haven't seen you around much other than your new torsion keys. Got any projects planned for before/during winter? Hey, we finally get to see those factory 20's on there too after like 6 months!

Must be nice having that fancy new AutoCal!

I towed a '92 or '95 Dakota to the junkyard for a friend after he used it in our local trailer race. I'll post a pic later.

We have annual emissions inspections (some counties). They check for illegal / modified equipment and check the lights, brakes, horn, etc for operation. Tires must also pass.

Not too bad overall or hard to pass.

I am pretty sure my would pass with no trouble, I keep it very well maintained. I just don't like the idea of somebody else telling me whether or not I can drive MY own vehicle.

Well, that's one way of looking at it. Another way would be to look at as the state telling someone else that he can't endanger you, or anyone else, by operating his unsafe vehicle on a public road. Let's face it, if there's something dangerously wrong with a vehicle then it's a danger not just to the driver, but to his passengers and anyone else on the road around him.

A bald set of tires that hydroplane you through a stoplight, or a worn tie rod end that suddenly snaps and sends you into the oncoming lane doesn't only affect you.

Installed the 145 amp alternator today, painted it gloss black like the 105 amp that was in there so there is really no need to take a pic lol.

Bought a longer belt...it's the belt that fits on my 2005 suburban 5.3 with the 160 amp alt. Fit nice. I toggled the efans on and off a bit and I noticed that with this bigger alt the truck doesn't lag down so much when the fans start. Now the voltage drop isn't very noticeable at all.

I still need a red top optima, my ac delco battery blows bad....
