I do. STICKERS. :D

Be happy the tailgate is finally clean. :D

I do plan to pull the Z71 stickers off and SIERRA letters off both doors. I'm going to do that at the same time I put the billet grille on. I figure all or nothing.

Would have been my guess also. I'd be willing to bet the filter inside that thing was clogged. I always ran a seperate inline filter with those old quadra-pukes.

I didnt have a internal filter. I always run a exturnal one on any carb.

Some of the Quadrajets used plastic floats...
Over time the floats become porous and adsorb a certain amount of fuel.
Then they are heavier than they are supposed to be and if not replaced with new floats, cause the fuel level to be too high in the float bowl and that can lead to rough running and flooding out.

Quadrajets are great... but only "IF" they are assembled "RIGHT" and adjusted "RIGHT"

Mine had the brass? Float. It was a old one dad rebuilt it for me but i think it needed to be filed flat or some thing. Maybe a small crack thats what im thinking cause the darn thing just never ran right.:dunno:

They are great! I highly recommend them. Te only problem is you have to use a couple of them if the boat is too big. But, one can hold a huge stack of papers.

That Edelbrock AFB style carb is and excellent choice for a daily driver:thumbs:

Sent from Ft. Worth TX
:rollin: I wanted the edelbrock from the begining but couldn't aford it. But i got this one for $100 so alls good now.
