Getting ready to order some oil for it
I used up my 2 free GM oil changes for the year, so I have to pay for the in betweener.
I get 2 more freebies starting in March
How many miles so far?
16,600
Going through about 5 gallons of DEF every 7K, and have yet to add any oil between changes @ 6-7K. The idle time in the cold weather has killed this oil change on the OLM. I only have 3K on it, and I am at 22%
I am really trying to live by the OLM on this engine. I am not sure if I will go full synthetic, and be done with the dealer oil changes, or just stick with the Mobil dino oil that they have been putting in.
I am at the Amsoil site, now. Ordering more 5w30 XL for momma's Tahoe, and 10w40 for the 'Busa...decisions, decisions...
Michael, are you limited to the # of oil changes you get on the gasser, per year?
Yours is thirsty on the sheep pee compared to how mine was... I wonder if it uses more when idling a lot?
Buy the Amsoil for the Dirty, it'll thank you, lol.
I'd also suggest a fuel filter change a little more often than the life meter suggests, the CP4 detests any possible restrictions or contaminants/water.
Yeah that is freaky. 16K miles, and the fuel filter life still shows 70%
I'm not as pretty as Michael, but I'll answer anyway...it's a max of 4 oil changes over the 2 years for the gas trucks.![]()
Bastards! Gas guys get all the cool '15 stuff![]()
I will have ammo to plink with after you vote Hilary in.
