Took the "racing" strip off of it and pressure washed the rims. Took all the black off of them. Next is to do something with the grill.

Correct Sir. So far they've dealt with the valve cover encased PCV valve, and the AFM "splash shield" or AFM gasket. 800 miles later she was .85qt low. Same pattern as before. Next I guess is rings, and if that doesn't work I'm not sure, maybe a new engine. School me if I'm off mark

From the threads I have followed on GMT, I think you are right. 1 out of bazillions have the issue apparently, and either get rings or a long block. It's all about the dealer, brother. I hope you have a good one.

My 07 had the junk lifters. Replaced, no more issues.

Well, although the issue is still unresolved, I do have faith in my service department manager at the dealership. He's a straight shooter and seems to have no problem in doing what it takes to resolve the problem. So while I don't have a concern there, it's just a hassle of dealing with the situation. Time.

Not to mention, every time I'm there I find myself perusing through the 2500 line. I really don't need a new truck..... Right I don't
