One of classmates(female student) wants a electric drill and the Fastenal rep recommended Bosch. I say Dewalt or Milwaukee. The rep also heard that the new Milwaukee tools are made at the same place that Ryobi are made at, which is China.

I mean corded drills not cordless.

Happy with my Milwaukee, torquey bastard, batteries recharge less than an hour. But unless you mean electric via plug in power....:dunno:

Bosch is good, I have two of 'em. But the ones that got the most use with my crews were the Ryobi's. When they eventually killed 'em replacing them didn't hurt as bad as replacing a DeWalt. Of course, anyone who killed one got the Harbor Freight special for a month or two, until I felt I could trust him with something better again.

dewalt. my family has 2. ones older and has a high rpm. the new one is slower but has a lot of torque. the cordless one...has a dead battery and its cheaper to buy a new drill thats 115 (includes the case/drill/battery and charger) than it is to buy another battery for it (like 75)

Dewalt and Milwaukee are my first choices. Ridgid is also good.

Lots of difference between an electric drill and a cordless one.

I have a Ryobi cordless that cost less than 100 bucks and has been through hell. The lithium batteries hold a charge forever.

I've not tried their drills, but I have a few of their nailers and two saws (table and a compound miter) and like those a lot.

That's funny, because I have a lot of Ridgid tools, except for a table/miter or nailers. I'm all about Bostitch nailers and Makita sliding compound saws.

The drill has been put through some abuse and it still has crazy power and never lets me down. I have the Max Ah2.5 18V batteries. It has good weight to it too, feels really good in my hand. The lifetime warranty is awesome too.
