I know I know. Haha. Redid the window tint Friday, got a 4s yesterday and renewed my xm with phone/online listening plus in the Tahoe. Now I'm getting real tired or just fm radio and on or off volume.

Things I want from a radio are cd/mp3 sub out and aux in really. I'm a fan of pioneer and can get a basic single din radio for around 40-50 plus install extras and play xm over the pjhonw with aux cord. But then I say why not just get a good radio again. Double dons look at home in the dash. I can do another 4300 DVD for about 300 plus install extras.

If I went with the 4300 I would take the face off the stock radio and glue the buttons in and attach some Velcro to the top and bottom so it can be placed over the pioneer when leaving the car. Figure thatbplus darker tint will make it less of a target.

Either way I can also get my sub and amp cleaned off and back to use rather than sitting idle.

If you just get a basic alarm without all the bells and whistles, the alarm will cost about the same as a new window if you get broken into again. You should be able to get a basic Viper with keyless but no remote start or anything for about 150 installed. $200 max.

Why not a Shaker HU? That's what I have and it's a bit more work to build a system around it, but it looks stock

Itll need remote start if I get one really. I did drop the deductible on comprehensive to 250 and collision to 500 on friday also.

Having issues running the 05+ head unit in the 04. And stock units people still want like 150-200 and not worth it IMO really. If I had one already I would.

Well if you were closer, I could install one for you Jake. That would save you big $$ as opposed to having a shop install an alarm/remote start for you. Most 2-way combo units are running over $600 installed. Depending on how much the alarm and bypass actually cost, it would probably be $350-$400 if I install it.

A gotcha... I snagged a brand new take out off ebay for 50 bucks last year out of an 08

I hear ya Scotty. Im on the way to bestbuy to look around and see what they have options wise. I wouldn't mind the install just finding time for it. Really
